RAB/BKO is aiming to provide a platform for organisations and artists working towards a multilingual and inclusive sector.
The classic division of Brussels residents into Dutch-speakers and French-speakers has long since passed. Yet multilingualism in culture is more often an obstacle than a source of inspiration. How can cultural offerings connect with non-native-speaking communities? What can the cultural sector do to harness linguistic richness as a strength? What are good practices around translation and surtitling? We want to collaborate on this with the Brussels Council for Multilingualism, which has culture as its central theme for 2023.
