Who are the members?

BKO and RAB are networks whose members are professional art organisations from Brussels. The power of the network lies in its large diversity: all artistic disciplines and types of organisations are represented, with diverse funding sources. Among our members are big cultural houses, but also companies, artist-run organisations, production houses, and others. Additionally, also a number of socio-cultural organisations, community centres, and supporting organisations are members.

The members are also diverse in terms of their funding. They receive structural subsidies from the Vlaamse Gemeenschap, the Vlaamse Gemeenschapscommissie (VGC), the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, and the Commission Communautaire française (COCOF), on a Federal level and/or of one of the 19 Brussels’ municipalities.

BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE NETWORK?

Each artistic or cultural organisation located in Brussels that receives (structural) subsidies, can become a member of RABKO.

The financial contribution is based upon structural subsidies and each member sits in the General Assembly. We consider the membership fee a solidarity contribution that allows the network to exist and organise activities accessible to the entire cultural sector in Brussels. The membership fees are calculated based on a tiered system and based on the received structural subsidies and/or project funding.
